We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in a heavy industrial environment. This role is responsible for performing both corrective and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and support production goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and a track record of maintaining reliability in high-demand operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and mechanical systems.
Support and execute preventive maintenance schedules during shift operations.
Accurately document maintenance activities, including root cause, context, and corrective actions, in SAP.
Inspect equipment and facilities; perform scheduled building repairs and report issues proactively.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support repair and installation work.
Collaborate with the Reliability team to address critical maintenance priorities and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards (JRA, Hot Work, Lockout/Tagout, etc.).
Maintain lubrication, hydraulic fluids, and spare parts inventories; monitor reorder points for critical components.
Support maintenance shutdowns by coordinating with operators and assisting with mechanical tasks.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, updating and refining maintenance plans as needed.
Technical Experience Preferred:
PLC Systems: Allen Bradley ControlLogix
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs): Allen Bradley PowerFlex
Motors: AC (GE, Baldor, others), DC (GE, Reliance)
Instrumentation: Thermocouples, pressure, level, and flow transmitters and switches
Software: IBA Analyzer for monitoring critical production variables
Electrical Equipment: Switchgear, contactors, and industrial control cabinets
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of millwright practices, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting
Proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting high-demand production equipment
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
