DIRECTOR OF FINANCE-NORTHWEST INDIANA NON-PROFIT

Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana seeks a Director of Finance who will be responsible for all financial aspects of the organization including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulations.This role often involves strategic planning, working with senior leadership, and potentially participating in fundraising activities.

Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana makes a difference in the communities they serve by providing over 2,500 daily nutritious meals to older adults, allowing them to age with dignity and independence in a familiar place they love.To date, the chapter is supported by over 600 local volunteers, and has changed over 2,500 lives across the region.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
TheDirector of Finance will participate in fundraising activities, communicate financial information, and manage restricted funds for the organization.
Performs period end reports and audits with collabotation with Finance Committe utilizing Quickbooks and other financial accounting platforms.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
Nonprofit experience: Experience working in a non-profit organization is preferred.
Analytical skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
Experience with relevant donor relations software: Familiarity with accounting software and other financial
Financial expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
