Vice President of Operations
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to join our leadership team. As the VP of Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our company, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring we achieve our business goals.
This role requires a strong leader that deeply understands retail (convenience store) & restaurant operations (franchise QSR food offering) with a sense of urgency, a proven track record of holding teams accountable, and the ability to inspire and execute strategies that achieve superior results.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations management within a multi-division environment and a relentless focus on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of department heads and operational staff.
• Collaborate with the senior staff director to set and achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
• Analyze and improve operational systems, processes, and policies.
• Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team.
Qualifications
• Experience: VP of Operations or similar leadership role within small to medium box retail AND QSR restaurant operations.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with a track record of driving operational excellence.
• Accountability: Strong sense of urgency and the ability to hold teams accountable for performance and results.
• Strategic Thinking: Exceptional strategic and analytical skills. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
