THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Leading engineering efforts from design to manufacturing and customer delivery.
Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the application of CAD (specifically CREO software). Extensive experience with surfacing and sub-assembly modeling a plus.
Participate in simultaneous engineering efforts to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
Lead Process FMEAs and participate in Design FMEAs with cross-functional groups including Quality, Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, and Suppliers.
Utilize tools outlined in TS-16949 standard including process capability studies, control plans, PPAP, and statistical process control to ensure timely and successful product launches.
Create and reconcile production standards utilizing work measurement techniques such as time/motion studies, work content studies, etc. Analyze production costs to identify and implement improvement efforts.
Work with internal teams to develop optimum solutions. This requires good communication skills.
Basic computer skills
Experience in kaizen-related activities.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
Three years’ plus experience in Design and Manufacturing Engineering
Experience working in a continuously changing environment. Kaizen event experience is preferred.
Design software package experience, manufacturing, quality and customer service experience.
Bachelor's Degree required, Masters is preferred.
