The position:
As the Vice President of Information Technology, you will be responsible for supporting company leadership with development and oversight of company infrastructure, data management and reporting. These responsibilities include, the creation of the overarching strategy, governance, controls, compliance and policy development for systems integration and technical operations. Vendor management, system design and development, operations and accounting process analysis and overall IT managementare all part of the job. You will have a team of 4 Directors reporting to you along with a department of 12 employees.
Accountabilities and Expectations:
Key contributor to the management team regarding systems infrastructure, data management and reporting
Development and maintenance of technology roadmaps in relationship to overall company strategy
Document workflow of accounting and operations processes with standard tools and procedures. Provide a framework for managing documented workflows and system processes
Engage with end users to identify incremental automation opportunities and paths to obtain and make data available.
Identify and remediate issues affecting data quality, end user productivity and operational weaknesses
Champion establishment of frameworks and workflows to streamline M&A operations, property management and contract management. Often performing and mentoring on project management to implement improvements to existing operations and technology
Background Profile:
Significant hands-on IT experience with focus upon systems integration, project management and business analysis
Extensive experience within property management, the retail convenience store and/or downstream petroleum industry, preferably with a gasoline distributor or related business
Clear understanding of accounting principles, field operations and retail concepts. Understanding of environmental, store operations, POS technology, fuel pricing, fuel logistics, credit management or contract management a plus
Proven experience leading systems migration projects; PDI experience is essential
Proven experience partnering, collaborating and communicating with business stakeholders, vendors and individual contributors, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple work streams simultaneously
Ability to work independently and under pressure, while meeting tight deadlines
Strong communication skills, especially as it relates to supporting and influencing technology, data and reporting
