Sales Manager-Fuels/Lubricants
Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Sales Manager for the East Region, based in Chattanooga, TN, offering a competetive compensation/benefits package including Medical/dental/vision, employer matching 401K, fuel card, vehicle allowance, and eligibility for an annual incentive-based bonus. The role involves full-time office presence with required travel across Eastern Tennessee and encompasses comprehensive management and execution of fuel, lubricant, DEF, and equipment sales, including budgetary and strategic planning for the Sales Department.
Responsibilities include:
Leading the Sales team effectively through recruitment, hiring, and training, alongside providing ongoing technical training.
Supporting sales representatives in developing robust prospect lists and opportunity pipelines, crafting creative marketing strategies, and preparing sales proposals.
Sustaining existing business through technical expertise, guiding sales staff in daily routines, efficient scheduling, problem-solving, and stepping in for inside sales representatives as needed.
Organizing weekly meetings to assess budgetary performance against goals, pipeline status, prospects, and schedule planning.
Assisting in annual departmental budget projections, setting expenses, and defining gallon and profit targets for the team.
Overseeing and managing the department’s field equipment, including securing loaned equipment agreements and managing repairs and installations as required.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or at least three years of Sales experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business documents, writing reports, business correspondence, and effectively presenting information to groups of managers, clients, and team members.
Demonstrated ability to perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching employees.
