Position Description:
Immediately seeking an experienced Compliance Testing Technician. This role will be responsible for the precision tank and line tightness testing, spill and overfill prevention equipment testing and inspections, automatic tank gauge equipment inspections, containment sump testing, Stage 1 Enhanced Vapor Recovery testing, cathodic protection equipment inspections, and other petroleum equipment testing. The Compliance Testing Technician will provide input for new-tester training initiatives and advise on preferred programs and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receives schedules and work orders from the Compliance Manager and Compliance Coordinator and completes daily work assignments within scheduled deadlines.
Follows established department and company policies to ensure complete, accurate, and timely completion of the department's testing and compliance services.
Works with other Compliance Testing Technicians and Inspectors to conduct the department’s services, providing technical support and onsite assistance.
Safely use and maintain company supplied test equipment.
Receive industry training and certifications and maintain current certifications as required.
Utilize company software to track all work orders, inspection reports, and site-specific records.
Communicate any testing or compliance deficiencies to the Compliance Manager and recommend appropriate repairs.
Communicate the results of any testing to the customer and answer any questions or concerns that may arise. Direct customer inquiries to the Compliance Manager as needed.
Maintain industry knowledge, seek, and develop best practices, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Develop a thorough understanding of GA EPD and US EPA regulations and industry codes and be able to interpret and apply them to customer needs.
Collaborate with the Compliance Manager on special projects and long-term objectives.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Complete all testing and inspection reports accurately and efficiently.
Maintain schedule and report any delays to Compliance Manager
Submit all reports according to established procedures and within scheduled timeframes.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum five years’ experience in the petroleum equipment industry, as a tester, inspector, or service technician required.
Familiar with GA EPD and US EPA Underground Storage Tank regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Apps, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Planner.
Must have clean MVR and pass DOT physical and drug test. CDL is not required.
Experience operating trucks up to 14,000 GVWR.
Experience pulling trailers up to 10,000 GVWR.
