Position Summary and Essential Job Functions
Sector Senior Account Managers are responsible for establishing, maintaining, and expanding assigned sectors sales in USA and Canada, working directly with customers and prospects as well as other Account Managers. Sector Senior Account Managers are specialists in their sectors and represent the high level of expertise ILA offers to our customers. Normally Sector Senior Account Managers are requested to participate in all new business development related to that sector or in situations that require deeper knowledge of the sector products and applications. Although having some important accounts direct responsibility, the Sector Senior Account Managers will provide support to all Industrial Sales team members.
Essential Job Functions
Deep understanding of customer needs and requirements. Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that drive win-win scenarios for the customer and ILA. Own the customer/prospect relationship and is the primary point of contact for customer locations.
Work with IUS sales and IUS T&M to identify shortfalls in the product line and search for new opportunities in the product portfolio.
Assist in working with and training distribution network on the ILA product line looking for new opportunities.
Provide technical service and assistance in the lab and onsite at the customer to ensure the win/win for Idemitsu growth and customer production.
Review customer results and make comments/recommendations as needed.
Understand the Heat Treat Business, as well the processes of Quenching, Cleaning and Rust Protection in a Heat treat shop.
Qualifications
Education
BS/BA in Chemistry , Materials Science or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Certified Lubricants Specialist is a plus
Experience
5-7 years Sales
5+ years in industries related to industrial lubricants and industrial service sales. Previous experience selling and/or offering technical support to Heat Treating Products.
