Position Summary and Essential Job Functions
Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and expanding assigned national accounts, coordinating marketing, building customer relations through mutually rewarding partnerships, and assisting with the expansion of new product introductions. Requires proven sales success and strong leadership capability.
Essential Job Functions
Account management and business development – provide customer service, sales support, and training to each assigned account. Identify new opportunities and present solutions to grow the business. Identify new business opportunities/customers, including but not limited to dealerships, jobbers, quick lubes, installers, distributors, and retailers.
Field work – Visit customer’s headquarters and complete field calls with customers sales reps.
Accomplish/exceed sales goals by creating action plans to support division market strategy.
Identify and addresses customers concerns and needs with a sense of urgency and ownership.
Coordinate associate resources (team) for business developments/promotions.
Generate program proposals and action plans based on marketing strategy.
Communicate pricing and product changes to the customer, as required.
Support the collection of past due customer accounts.
Support technical market research. Support the development of new strategies to expand the business as well as brand image/awareness.
Qualifications
Education
BA/BS (technical degree/business/marketing/sales) or equivalent experience preferred
Certified Lubricants Specialist – a plus
Experience
5-7 years Sales
5 years Account Management (regional or higher in automotive lubricants)
