Leading distributor of fuels in Southeast Michigan is currently seeking an experienced and professional FuelsDispatch Manager. To be qualified, candidates must possess industry specific experience and related skills. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the geographical area the company currently services.
The Role You Will Play:
The objective of this position is to coordinate the on-time, in-full delivery of fuel utilizing company owned assets to exceed industry standards of service and ensure maximum customer satisfaction and bottom line profitability.
Responsible for the comprehensive oversight of two terminals, encompassing day-to-day operations
Responsible for DOT compliance of Trucks and Trailers
Responsible for HAZMAT registration with the DOT
Oversee and manage Dispatch and Drivers
Ensure customers do not run out of fuel
Audit driver payroll and logs weekly for final payroll
Replace or get repaired any equipment used to deliver fuel and equipment (include hoses, tank drops and vent drop)
Driver training
Union Contract Negotiations
Hiring
Conflict resolution
Scheduling
Monitor the market for price watch
Transport drivers for equipment pickup or exchanges
Commute to terminals to collect paperwork weekly
Go to customers locations to supervise and observe pump outs
Provide Freight rates for new business
Collaborate with Sales for new business
Prepare quotes for new equipment (trailers)
Background Profile:
Organized Communication Skills – Written, Verbal and Electronic (MS Outlook, Word and Excel)
Strong understanding of the petroleum supply and distribution process
Working knowledge of petroleum Bulk Plants, Loading Terminals
Independently completes assigned tasks on time
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company
Ability to perform at a fast pace in an ever-changing environment
Strong work ethic – Leads by example with a “whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude
Results oriented, strategic decision maker
