Fuel Dispatch Manager

Leading distributor of fuels in Southeast Michigan is currently seeking an experienced and professional FuelsDispatch Manager. To be qualified, candidates must possess industry specific experience and related skills. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the geographical area the company currently services.
The Role You Will Play:
The objective of this position is to coordinate the on-time, in-full delivery of fuel utilizing company owned assets to exceed industry standards of service and ensure maximum customer satisfaction and bottom line profitability.
The Dispatcher Manager's primary responsibility is to continually adapt to the changing needs of customers to ensure customer satisfaction and bottom line performance
Ensure Driver compliance with supplier and company protocol and standard operating procedures
Maintain an open line of communication with the various supplier loading racks to ensure driver compliance and training for terminal loading access.
Determine optimum supplier pull points and direct drivers accordingly to ensure cost control and maximum profitability
Participate with recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring drivers
Ensure all safety protocols are implemented and complied with 100% of the time
Ensure driver and company compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service regulations
Coordinate emergency and preventative maintenance repairs with Fleet Maintenance personnel
Continually monitor driver behavior and performance to ensure safe operations and maximum productivity
Continually monitor and adjust delivery assignments to accommodate customer demand
Background Profile:
Organized Communication Skills – Written, Verbal and Electronic (MS Outlook, Word and Excel)
Strong understanding of the petroleum supply and distribution process
Working knowledge of petroleum Bulk Plants, Loading Terminals
Independently completes assigned tasks on time
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company
Ability to perform at a fast pace in an ever-changing environment
Strong work ethic – Leads by example with a “whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude
Results oriented, strategic decision maker
