We are seeking a Petroleum Service Technician. The ideal candidate is respectful, responsible and a resourceful team player. On-the-job training is an option for the ideal candidate.
The primary responsibilities for a Petroleum Service Technician are:
Diagnose and service petroleum service calls
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all petroleum equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommended schedules, equipment tagging, and developing warranty/replacement programs
Troubleshoot all customer calls in regard to equipment (Fuel Pumps/Dispensers, POS Systems, Tank & Line Monitoring Systems, and various other types of equipment related to service/has stations)
Advise customers about equipment condition and possible upgrades
Complete service reports and work orders
Communicate with parts department in regard to equipment needed
Follow-up on customer inquiries that are not immediately resolved
On a rotation to respond to emergency calls
Perform compliance inspections
Complete installation of and start-up procedures for new dispensers, monitoring equipment and POS systems
The desired qualifications for a Petroleum Service Technician are:
High School graduate or equivalent
Certifications are a plus, but not required:
Veeder Root
Incon
POS (Passport or VeriFone)
Dispenser (Wayne or Gilbarco)
Mechanical and electrical experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
