Chemical Sales Manager – Midwest Territory
COMPANY PROFILE:
The company offers a diversified line of car wash and vehicle maintenance products including detergents, polishes and protectants.
THE ROLE:
As the Regional Chemical Sales Manager, you will use your sales skills and industry contacts to bring our products to Distributors and Car Washes across the Midwest.
Responsible for fostering and developing relationships with distributors and end users in territory.
Penetrate targeted accounts (distributors and end users) in the territory to generate new sales.
Perform demonstrations to inform and train clients on the large line of Car Wash products. Cross sell additional product lines to the customer’s purchasing routine.
Possess exceptional customer management skills. Ability to work with existing customers to provide unmatched customer service.
Requires exceptional hunting and cold calling skills to generate and develop new customer accounts.
Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover Midwest territory in an efficient, timely manner.
Work with inside customer service representatives to ensure orders are placed and customer expectations are met. Proactively resolve customer challenges.
Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, quotes, sales orders and other documentation.
Attend tradeshows, visit prospective customers and participate in industry-related functions as a representative of the company.
Strategize with senior management on specific sales and marketing initiatives.
Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Although you will travel extensively by air and ground, you MUST BE BASED IN THE ASSIGNED TERRITORY, which covers IN, OH, MI, IL, WI, KY.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
****Experienced car wash chemical sales candidates with proven track record of success in territory preferred****
Five years experience in automotive/vehicle chemical sales (protectants, detergents, polishes, etc.).
Exposure to the car wash industry, especially the chemical/equipment side of the industry, is BIG plus.
Working knowledge of MS Office and CRM Software
Demonstrated track record of developing new business
Expertise in traveling to accounts to service and grow them
Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs
Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success
Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met
Identify and attract prospective strategic customers nationwide
Insure brand consistency
Negotiate contracts
Collect and analyze sales performance metrics
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards
Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
Ability to travel as needed (50% +)
