Position Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for installation, set-up, servicing, maintaining, diagnosing issues, and repairing all equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose equipment problems, using judgement to determine how to repair or replace.
Repair and maintain equipment and building electrical wiring, plumbing, refrigeration, and fuel devices.
Use instruments to test and evaluate performance of equipment; repair or replace defective valves, thermostats, and other parts.
Install electrical equipment, and repair or replace wiring, fixtures, and bulbs.
Complete service documentation on what was installed, replaced, or repaired after each call. Reports must be accurately completed and submitted upon completion of job.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of tools and equipment used in building and mechanical trades' work. Prior experience with installing and repairing electrical systems, plumbing and refrigeration equipment and parts preferred. HVAC certification
preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal and written instruction. Must have the ability to respond and adjust to changing or new situations. Work well in high stress environments and maintain professionalism. Must have excellent guest services skills.
Other Requirements:
Work is performed in a store setting. Travel with overnight stays required 20% to 40% of the time. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the physical ability to drive
a vehicle for job related travel.
