Currently seeking a Retail Engagement Manager in Washington, DC Area
Position: Retail Engagement Manager
Reports to: Director, Retail Engagement
Our client represents the global convenience and fuel retailing industry, currently seeks a driven, solutions-oriented, creative thinker as a Retail Engagement Manager. This position will be responsible for recruiting, retaining, and engaging new and existing member companies and their employees to become more active participants of the association as well as engaging state and local associations. This position is a part of the Retail Engagement Team which works collaboratively with and other internal teams that drive and support member engagement.
To assist the Director, Retail Engagement in achieving goals based on the strategic initiatives of the association and the specific goals of the Retail Engagement Team.
To continuously reinforce and enhance the client's retail membership value proposition.
To develop and maintain professional relationships with retail member companies with a focus on the small and independent domestic retail companies (1 to 10 stores).
To communicate to small and independent retailer the full complement of events, activities, products, and services.
To utilize and support marketing concepts and campaigns to obtain new members and retain and engage existing members.
To collaborate with the Membership Support Team and updating membership database on an ongoing basis.
To respond to general membership applications and renewals inquiries from retail companies related to and collaborate with the Membership Support Team to process.
To proactively engage and assist members and attendees at Annual Conventions and Other events.
Other duties as determined in the normal course of business.
Self-starter with the ability to work alone or as part of a group.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities at once.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Expected travel on business approximately 20 percent.
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree desired.
Minimum three years in convenience and fuel industry experience in a management position with a retailer, supplier, or service provider company or in an industry association with comparable job experience.
Previous experience with an engaged association member company.
Experience with Protech and Microsoft UX 365.
Background in and a passion for sales.
Exposure to recruitment and retention tools.
