Convenience Store Manager
Dynamic, regionally-base convenieince store chain with locations across the Midwest is looking for a Store Manager for one of their stores in St. Louis! The company prides itself on great customer service and clean, customer friendly locations.
As Store Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the convenience store business by providing leadership and direction to the team.
Be an excellent leader of a 24/7 convenience store.
Recruit a dedicated staff with a customer service mindset. Maintain appropriate staffing level. Train the store team to adhere to policies and maintain our high standards.
Provide supervision of the store, assign tasks, reinforce procedures, and ensure productivity, courtesy, cleanliness, and safety. Manage team members fairly, ensure accountability, and employ corrective action as needed.
Keep the premises inviting and looking great.
Promote excellent service and use the utmost courtesy in dealing with and correcting customer and employee concerns.
Ensure effective store operations, including inventory and cash control, bank deposits, reports, work schedules, and work procedures. Safeguard and account for all money, ensuring accurate deposits. Control theft.
Order merchandise accurately and timely, and ensure that pricing is correct and inventory is stocked and displayed. Execute store promotions and on-site advertising as instructed.
Survey competitors’ pricing.
Report daily sales and operations.
Maintain a safe premises for customers and employees, and investigate, report and correct conditions leading to accidents or complaints. Ensure that the building and equipment are maintained, and conduct inspections
Perform any duties of all store positions, including customer checkout, cleaning, stocking, ordering, etc.
Complete all other responsibilities as detailed in training materials.
Requirements
3+ years of supervisory experience, with experience in a convenience store environment preferred.
Dedication, strong leadership and supervisory skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and a customer service mentality.
Basic computer skills and reporting capability.
