Procurement Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Procurement Analyst to join our clients team in the Louisville, KY area. This role involves meticulous data management and analysis to support daily procurement operations while leveraging expertise in SAP best practices to enhance team efficiency. Potential for hybrid situation after training is completed.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage procurement data for forecasting raw material and packaging needs, safety stock levels, and ordering volumes.
Collaborate with finance and sales teams to oversee raw material and packaging costs.
Support the team's strategic goals by creating Excel and PowerPoint presentations showcasing annual purchasing statistics, value-added achievements, and long-term objectives.
Utilize ERP knowledge to identify opportunities for optimizing procurement team processes within the ERP materials management module.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain statistics on raw material and packaging consumption.
Keep pricing and sourcing information up to date.
Translate production scheduling/MRP data into actionable procurement insights.
Develop analytical tools to monitor inventory levels.
Act as the primary point of contact for finance and sales teams regarding material costs.
Organize and analyze procurement data to identify pricing and volume trends, support quotation analyses, and create presentation materials.
Serve as the primary knowledge source for SAP operations and improvements.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Associate Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience/training.
3+ years in manufacturing or finance, with supply chain or finance operations experience preferred.
Knowledge of ERP materials management or controlling module is preferred.
Minimum three years' experience in a similar role.
Job Knowledge/Special Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with SAP materials management or controlling module.
Strong mathematical, data management, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Active listening and learning abilities.
Competence in reading and interpreting data.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, and time management skills.
