Maintenance Operations Manager-Veteran Owned Commercial Landscaping Company in Nashville, TN
Job purpose
The Landscape Maintenance Operations Manager directly supervises Crew Leaders and Crew Members, while also working in a coaching capacity with the crew to deliver excellent results to the customer. Responsibilities include general labor, in field training, scheduling, hiring, perform disciplinary actions and releasing team members, direct crews on the job, operating heavy equipment completing administrative tasks, budgeting hours, ensuring safety awareness, and regular interaction with customers.
Duties and responsibilities
Lead a team of 15-20 crew leaders and crew members
Build and uphold a culture of Safety for the team.
Hiring, tracking attendance, issues warnings and reprimands and dismissals
Daily/weekly routing of the crew’s daily routes through landscape software
Proficiently operate various lawn maintenance equipment and training of team members
Coordinate materials required for detail crews and enhancement projects
Work closely with the CRM to help determine any service gaps from our clients.
Budget hours for on-time completion of daily projects and track teams efficiency • Ensure required documentation of time and work completed is documented correctly.
Keep work vehicle and equipment clean and organized.
Perform such other activities as may be temporarily or permanently assigned.
Required to report to office each day during normal business hours.
Qualifications
Possess (or be qualified to obtain) a TN spray certification/license.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver License issued by a U.S. State or Territory.
Have and maintain qualifying MVR for company auto insurance.
Ability to interact professionally with all customers, team members, and those from external organizations.
Uses Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiently.
Has experience with Aspire Landscape software experience
Bilingual proficiency with English and Spanish, preferred.
3+ years of experience as a Landscape Maintenance Operations Manager
Working conditions
Required to work outdoors for primary job functions.
Required to work in an office environment for some primary job functions
Physical requirements
Required to endure long periods of standing or walking and extended periods of bending, stooping, and lifting.
Ability to lift 15-50 lbs. frequently.
Ability to lift 51-90 lbs. occasionally.
