Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY
Provide building maintenance and repair store equipment using tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, drills, wrenches, saws, refrigeration test tools, electrical meters, HVAC testing equipment, ladders, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs daily repairs and maintenance to equipment and building
Performs regular inspections of stores and informs supervisor of any problem areas.
Suggests ways to increase preventative maintenance and general system uptime resulting in financial savings for company
Deliver and Install equipment as needed
Maintain parts and supplies needed for job completion and accounts for appropriate levels.
Paint, repair roofs, windows, doors, floors and other parts of building structures.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education/experience: High School degree or GED equivalent
2+ years of related experience
Ability to work on own and work a flexible schedule including some weekends as needed
Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record and ability to safely drive company van
Must possess good electrical, mechanical, diagnostic and analytical skills.
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and equipment schematics.
Ability to use digital multi-meter to perform troubleshooting.
Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiple, divide).
Ability to work with various hand and power tools.
Ability to interact with store personnel, customers, and management in a professional courteous manner.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedures manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
