Position Overview
This is a working lead position responsible for coordinating with the Operations Supervisor of Industrial Services to oversee the day-to-day requirements of the electrical section. This will include providing daily direction to other department members as they work together to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Work with other sections of Industrial Services as needed.
Essential Job Functions
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
Ensure compatibility and safety of system using a variety of tools and equipment not limited to power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and test equipment.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct problems.
Position may be required to work at heights from a ladder or a lift.
Position may require occasional overtime on weekends and occasional out of state travel.

Qualifications
High School Diploma, or equivalent, is required.
Two years of technical training and five years of experience in the industry or 10 years of industry experience preferred.
