Role Overview:
As a Technical Representative – Aftermarket, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our client's product line within the aftermarket segment. Collaborating closely with various teams, you will contribute to strategic planning, market research, and product development activities. Leveraging your expertise, you will identify new market opportunities, facilitate product launches, and strengthen relationships with customers, while ensuring the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate on developing marketing strategies, including identifying new markets and designing products to address market needs.
Utilize OEM market data to forecast and establish sales targets, tools, and future product offerings.
Conduct market research through customer visits and interactions to gather insights and refine product requirements.
Act as a bridge between development teams, translating market requirements into product contracts and positioning.
Coordinate label and artwork development, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with cross-functional teams.
Facilitate cross-selling initiatives, obtaining approvals to expand product offerings into new sales markets.
Deliver technical presentations and product training to customers and associates.
Support OEM approval processes, product licensing, and launches for both domestic and international OEM customers.
Disseminate information about industry trends, technological advancements, and product developments to internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate customer insights following company guidelines and policies.
Contribute to the creation of product marketing literature and technical collateral using software tools like InDesign or Adobe Photoshop Suite.
Applicant Attributes:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing) or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably within the lubricant/automotive aftermarket/OEM industry.
At least 2 years of direct OEM experience, with familiarity in lubricants and greases.
Understanding of North American OEM market dynamics, particularly Powertrain lubricants.
Proven ability in strategic planning, market research, marketing, and product development.
Strong project management skills and demonstrated sales success.
Excellent communication skills encompassing presentations and public speaking.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.
Adept at working collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence.
Ability to research new markets and contribute to innovative business strategies.
