Job Title: Bulk Facility Operations Manager – Olive Branch, MS

PURPOSE: Bulk Facility Operations Managers are responsible for the Driver, Dispatch and Yard teams, Fleets, Fuel/Lube inventories, and overall Customer experience. They direct the business as needed with emphasis on safety, productivity, and consistent operating procedures.
DAILY TASKS AND DUTIES:
Establishes the culture and sets the tone at plant. Acts as a leader with primary concern for training, implementing repeatable procedures and adhering to high safety standards.
Ensure the needs of the existing customer base are met to satisfaction (profitably) in conjunction with the Sales Manager.
Hires and trains employees as needed. Staffing levels are reviewed regularly to ensure Fleet is utilized at maximum levels and outside labor is only used for extenuating situations.
Identify and maintain staffing levels; Works with Human Resources to hire and onboard new employees when necessary.
Maintains communication with dispatch department to resolve unique or time sensitive requests.
Ensures accurate record-keeping on Fleet. Remains compliant on scheduled maintenance, certifications, annual audits.
Ensure all divisions are compliant with all regulations.
Understand strengths and weaknesses of competitors in each market.
Identifies savings opportunities through process improvement, supply sources and equipment changes/upgrades.
Maintains adequate stocking levels at plant level such that company is rarely out of product(s).
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management or business management.
Ten or more years of experience in fuel and/or bulk lubricant plant operations
Proven skills in leadership and supervision.
Proven experience working in plant operations required.
Good understanding of fuel and oil transportation regulatory requirements.
Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Familiar with operating plant equipment safely and efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
