Project Manager-Commercial Construction
Our client is a leader in the petroleum construction and services field. As a comprehensive general contractor and construction management firm, they encompass projects throughout their life cycle by providing services that include project development, design-build, project management, construction, and final approval including federal and state inspections. We are actively recruiting for a Project Manager-Commercial Construction who will be responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from inception to completion. In addition to ensuring safety rules are followed at all times, they develop work schedules based upon the availability of employees or contractors and weather conditions. They enforce company and project policies, and ensures projects are constructed in accordance with the design, safety, quality, and schedule.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and direct construction projects from inception to completion
Elevate and build relationships with key service providers
Communicate with all personnel involved in the project
Assist with human resources and hiring/training of personnel
Develop a complete understanding of project plans and specifications
Prepare and review cost estimates and deliverables
Manage and handle construction disputes with vendors and clients
Create and manage weekly project status reports
Manage closeout submittals and warranty documents
Qualifications:
4-5+ years in a Project Management or Owner's Rep position on commercial builds
Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
Experience managing projects for hotels, condos, and resorts preferred
Experience with commercial remodels, capital projects, and renovations
Verifiable references and ability to pass pre-employment screenings
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is a plus
2+ years of supervisory experience in construction is a plus
2+ years in the construction or fuel industry is a plus
