Clark Oil Operations Manager Job Description
As the Director of Operations, you will lead a team of 3 or 4 District Managers and oversee the operation of 24-34 retail locations on the Mississippi coast. The OperationsDirector is tasked with ensuring the various retail stores are operating efficiently and that the stores meet their sales, shrink and operational goals. The Operations Director will have full P&L responsibility over their group of districts. Implementation of Marketing initiatives may also be a part of this role.
Key responsibilities of the Operations Director
Maintain shrink (inventory loss) within company’s acceptable limits.
Responsible for outlining a comprehensive recruiting and training program for District Managers to follow
Monitor the P&L reports for each store and develop effective ways to fill in any gaps between actual performance and company projections
Prioritize districts & stores performance issues to make certain that the issues most directly affecting profitability are addressed first
Immediately address any lapses in compliance with corporate policies or local, state and federal laws
Act as a coach to the District Managers and as a resource to each DM to help inspire the success of each of their districts
Possess strong analytical skills and be good problem solvers.
Hire, train and develop their management teams.
Ensure safety and security at stores
Assist DMs with the hiring/firing and training of store managers
Proven success in leading a team of District Managers, preferably in the c-store industry;
Ability to analyze financial reports and make decisions based on the information;
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills .
