DIRECTOR OF FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM & BRAND DEVELOPMENT

The Company: An admired retail company that has 300+ locations throughout the Wedt Coast/Rocky Mountain Region. This client company has a strong marketing presence and is considered a “best in class” brand.
The Role: The Director of Food Service will Develop a New Food Program and then execute strategic plans for our fast growing, mouth-watering, $200M food business, a business that fuels our company growth. Your responsibilities include leading cross-departmental food efforts to create, develop, and BRAND an awesome food concept, create great-tasting new food items, ensure food safety, accelerate sales growth, and measure results to consistently improve our food profitability.
Lead Development and Execution of our food strategy, working closely with key stakeholders to get their input and buy in.
Being passionate about the food service and restaurant industry daily while inspiring, coaching, developing, empowering and holding accountable all members of the food service management team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while developing and sustaining a profitable environment.
Provide leadership to direct reports, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, development, and mentoring.
Determine food strategy in conjunction with key stakeholders and develop food products and programs that are simple to execute in our stores and maximize profitability while managing sku rationalization.
Lead kitchen development and execution consistency with both Grab ‘N Go and Made-to-Order business platforms creating the future vision for how company will grow independent from fuel-traffic reliance.
Oversee food safety and quality assurance within the organization.
Drive the development of the Foodservice Technology Stack to improve kitchen execution and profitability.
Champion development of new channels of consumption for our customers including on-line ordering, curbside pickup and 3rd party delivery.
Ensure new marketing campaigns are leveraged to provide trial and awareness of new programs with engaging and mouthwatering food advertising.

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience; Graduate degree strongly preferred.
MUST have Retail Food Program Development experience in a fast casual dining environment.
10+ years of RETAIL industry foodservice experience with progressive responsibility
and HQ to restaurant program execution.
7+ years QSR and/or Fast Casual Dining experience.
Experience with restaurant metrics and benchmarks pertaining to managing corporate P&L budgets.
Experience with Kitchen Production Systems like Restaurant 365, BOHA, Crunch Time, ADC or similar highly preferred.
Experience with the food R&D process-chef and food scientist coordination.
Strong track record of successful collaboration with multi-unit locations.
Demonstrated strong written & verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
A history of sharing knowledge and experience to help individuals & team members grow.
Ability to collaborate with the IT function to develop and implement kitchen technology .
An in-depth understanding of competitive products and services within the marketplace.
