Senior Process Engineer – Great New Haven, CT Area
Growing renewable specialty chemical company is seeking a highly qualified Senior Process Engineer. This individual will manage process chemistry and optimization projects in the research lab, pilot plant and manufacturing facility. He / She will be responsible for the technical transfer of new products along with trouble shooting and / or optimization of existing commercial products. He/ She must be hands on and thrive in a fast paced, fluid environment.
Masters of Science or PhD in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in synthetic / process chemistry
Significant knowledge and experience in chemical process development
Successful track record of lab to production process translation
Experience working with chemists and engineers on chemical process scale up in both lab and manufacturing environments
Experience in gas / liquid chemical process at industrial scale highly preferred
Six sigma / lean manufacturing experience highly preferred
Capitol project management highly preferred.
