Director of Food Service
The Company:
40-year old Convenience Store chain who prides itself on a top-notch customer service experience. Their stores have an array of food offerings, a house blend of coffee, fountain and packaged beverages, a large selection of groceries, tobacco and alcohol.
Overview:
As the Director of Food Service, you will seek out, develop and implement new food offerings aimed at attracting customers and increasing sales. You will visit locations on a regular basis to ensure food programs are correctly and fully executed. A focus on food safety is essential!
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement new food offerings to attract customers at all meal times in order to increase sales;
Drive execution of food program in the field to ensure quality food preparation, presentation and execution of the promotional sales plan and key focus items;
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at the store level;
Improve foot traffic inside stores, improve the customer experience with attention to hospitality, quality, speed of service and cleanliness;
Identify opportunities to simplify operations and improve consistent execution;
Partner with Field Operations for a unified focus in the field.
Background Profile:
Food service development and operations experience
Financial analysis capability relating to restaurant P&Ls including sales, margin, waste, shrink, net profit.
Knowledge of industry, food service best practices in hospitality, quality, speed of service and cleanliness.
Proficient in a variety of software systems (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point) and able to adapt to new systems.
Ability to travel to locations on a regular basis to ensure proper execution
