INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS SALES REPRESENTATIVE – CHICAGOLAND AREA
POSITION SUMMARY
Solicit new B2B sales by prospecting users of industrial lubricant products. Maintain relationships with existing customers by servicing accounts, resolving issues and keeping marketing collateral up to date. Acquire contract renewals from current accounts. Provide support to customer’s staff as needed to service accounts. Responsible for meeting established sales quotas and metrics. Candidates must currently live in the Chicagoland area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Prospect/solicit new business in the region.
* Regularly visit large accounts and less frequently, smaller accounts to maintain good working relationships.
* Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
* Inform Sales Manager of new accounts and prospects.
* Maintain accurate and organized records of daily activities including mileage and expenses.
* Meet quotas and sales metrics as directed by Sales Manager.
* Coordinate with accounting department to ensure accurate billing.
* Manage transitional accounts.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
* Sales Ability – Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea.
*At least three years current or very recent experience in outside sales selling into the vehicle service industry required.
* Relationship Building – Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
* Customer Oriented – Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.

* Communication, Written – Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Education: College Degree Preferred
* Experience-Current or very recent experience in B2B Lubricant sales position in the Chicagoland area
* At least three years current or very recent experience in outside sales selling to the industrial & manufacturing.
* Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, general computer literacy
* Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver's License Required
* CLS – Certified Lubricant Specialist
