FOOD SERVICES MANAGER IN TRAINING-NORTHWEST INDIANA NON-PROFIT

Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana seeks a Food Services Manager who will be responsible for the safe and timely preparation of high quality, nutritious meals to older adults, people with disabilities, veterans, children, cancer patients, pregnant women, and others facing barriers to nutrition and social connection.
The successful candidate will have proven food service experience and has led teams of cooks and other staff. Will report to Director of Food Services.

Since 1977 over 10 million meals have been delivered to neighbors in need.
THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
The Food Services Manager will:
Assure accurate preparation of all regular and modified diets for all clients.
Supervise the temperatures of hot food to meet the requirements for holding, serving and delivery.
Supervise the overall cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance of kitchen and equipment.
Be involved in menu development and execution.
Manage all assigned staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
3 or more years of Culinary Leadership Experience, preferably in an institutional setting.
ServSafe Certification preferred.
